Frequent Planning Questions
What should I prepare before the meeting? I’m not fully organized yet.
You don’t need to prepare anything. Many clients come to us specifically because their financial life feels unstructured or overwhelming. Our role is to help you create clarity, not require it upfront. A simple conversation is enough to get started.
Is this meeting a sales call or a high-pressure discussion?
No. The meeting is a conversation, not a sales pitch. Our goal is to understand what’s important to you, answer your questions, and explain how we work. There is no obligation to move forward and no pressure to make decisions during the meeting.
How do I know if IDA is the right adviser for me?
The initial meeting is designed to help answer that question. We’ll discuss your goals, priorities, and complexity, and explain our approach. If there’s a strong fit, we’ll outline what working together could look like. If not, we’ll be transparent about that as well.
What happens after the meeting if I decide to move forward?
If you choose to continue, we’ll walk you through a clear next step process. That typically includes gathering information, defining objectives, and outlining a planning or investment framework tailored to your situation. Everything is explained in advance so you know what to expect before making any commitments.
