Jason Labrum founded Labrum Capital Advisors with a simple idea at the center: intelligent stewardship of wealth. The firm began serving its first clients that fall, welcoming Jason and Jordie Czapinski’s clients in September, followed by Rick Labrum and Darcy Wadsworth’s clients in November. By the end of the year, the firm was overseeing roughly $100 million.
The firm continued to grow and reached $193 million in assets under management. Alex Klingensmith joined the team, adding new energy and leadership to the firm’s future.
The firm evolved into Labrum Wealth Management, reflecting a broader perspective around intelligent stewardship of capital. Assets reached $295 million, and the team opened a new office on Innovation Way in Carlsbad.
Assets grew to $317 million. The Financial Detox concept was introduced, expanding the firm’s thought leadership, along with a radio show on KFMB 760 AM.
Assets climbed to $390 million. Alex Klingensmith and Jordie Czapinski were offered partnership opportunities, marking an important step in the firm’s leadership transition. The firm also opened its Fort Worth office.
The firm surpassed $500 million in assets. The Financial Detox book was published, bringing the firm’s ideas about financial decision making to a wider audience.
The firm officially became Intelligence Driven Advisers, reflecting a deeper commitment to thoughtful, process driven advice. The Financial Detox radio show launched on AM 1170 The Answer, and assets reached $825 million.
Assets under management crossed the $1 billion milestone.
IDA Tax was launched, expanding the firm’s capabilities and bringing tax planning more directly into the advisory process. Assets reached $1.25 billion.
Thomas Ohanesian and Darcy Wadsworth were offered partnership opportunities, and Kristin Skevington joined the firm. Assets stood at $1.14 billion.
The firm moved into a new Carlsbad office on Gateway Road as assets grew to $1.33 billion.
