Alex began his financial services career in 2005, after working for Kodak’s International Marketing Division in Santiago, Chile. His passion for bettering the investor experience brought him to work with Jason Labrum in 2012, eventually assuming the role of COO. Since then, Alex has moved into a dual role, with IDA, continuing to serve IDA’s Private Wealth clients as well as helping to run the organization. Alex is a Certified Financial Planner. He brings compassion, consistency, patience and curiosity to his work.
Alex has helped grow IDA from a 300-client, 7-employee company with $150 million in AUM to one with more than 1000 clients, 20 employees and nearly one billion in AUM.

Alex is proud to call Carlsbad home. He is active in the Carlsbad Hi Noon Rotary, YMCA Ecke Adventure Princess Program and LA Galaxy San Diego as a recreational coach. He enjoys time spent with his wife and three children, outdoor activities, and travelling the world. Alex speaks Spanish fluently, and loves doing so while on vacation in Costa Rica.
